Former Social Democratic Party leader Håkan Juholt, who has become famous for his mustache, is now being awarded an honorary award in a campaign to raise awareness about prostate cancer.

Every autumn, the Mustache Fight, a campaign to raise awareness about prostate cancer, takes place. This year, an honorary award was presented to former S leader Håkan Juholt, who has also been ambassador to Iceland and South Africa.

According to the Prostate Cancer Association, the award goes to someone who during the year "has contributed to a particularly large extent to giving the mustache positive attention and greater value."

"With a twinkle in his eye, he has often talked about his facial hair, but also emphasized how important the mustache is," reads part of the justification for Juholt.

According to the press release, Juholt has said that the mustache is a marker for the collection against prostate cancer and his mustache is also said to have been the model when the campaign was started.
