The incident occurred on Thursday in connection with an interrogation of a friend of the artist's ex-girlfriend. Combs is said to have tried to make gestures towards the jury in a way that made judge Arun Subramanian put his foot down.
During the subsequent lunch break, he warned the artist's defense that a continuation of the nodding could lead to Combs being sent out.
It should not be attempted to interact with this jury in any way, the judge said.
55-year-old Sean Combs is accused by over 120 people of, among other things, rape, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, and sex trafficking. In connection with so-called "freak-offs" – parties with drugs and sexual elements – he is suspected, according to the indictment, of having committed acts on both women and a couple of boys over a period of more than 20 years.
The trial against Sean Combs began on May 12 and is expected to last eight weeks. The artist has denied the charges, but admits to having been violent during an incident that was caught on film in 2016.
