Minnesota has sued the U.S. federal government in an attempt to stop federal agents from operating in the state.
A federal judge said there is evidence to support both sides' arguments and therefore ruled that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and federal border authorities may continue operating in Minnesota during the legal process.
The goal of the lawsuit is to have ICE disappear from, or at least greatly reduce its presence in, the state, state Attorney General Keith Ellison said in mid-January.
