The former president, who is accused of trying to carry out a coup against his successor Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, held a speech on Monday that quickly spread in social media.
Bolsonaro did not publish the speech himself, but his sons and political allies shared it.
The Supreme Court has imposed several restrictions on the accused former president. Among other things, he must wear an ankle monitor and is not allowed to use social media.
The judge in the Supreme Court, Alexandre de Moraes – with whom Bolsonaro has often been in conflict – showed posts from accounts on X, Instagram and Facebook with videos, images and texts from Bolsonaro's speech to journalists in Congress.
According to Moraes, the 70-year-old former president held a speech that was "intentionally meant to be spread on digital platforms".
