The Mogren Prize in music, established by Astra's former CEO Håkan Mogren, is awarded to young musicians at the beginning of their career.

Josef Wijk says in a press release that he has never had any thought of a plan B in his professional life.

"My family and all the teachers I've had since I started at the Culture School have always supported me. Now I understand how great significance it has had for how unhesitant, fun and stimulating my journey to becoming a professional oboist became. That support I wish for everyone."

Wijk was born in Örebro in 2000 and has after the Culture School studied at the University of Performing Arts in Gothenburg, the Haute école de musique in Geneva and played solo-oboe in the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam. Recently, he got a permanent position in the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra.
