It has already been clear that Sam Hallam will leave as national team captain after the World Cup. He will become coach of the Swiss team Genève-Servette and will be succeeded in the national ice hockey team by Rikard Grönborg, who returns to the position he left in 2019.

Grönborg led Tre Kronor to two straight World Cup gold medals in 2017 and 2018.

Josef Boumedienne tells Expressen that he has an NHL job but does not want to say which club or what he will do.

The former NHL defenseman has previously been an assistant coach in Columbus and has also served as head of scouting for the club.
