There was no medal for Jonna Malmgren in the World Championship in wrestling in Zagreb. The 24-year-old Swede lost with 1–9 against the Indian Antim Antim in Thursday's match for bronze in the 53-kilo class.
Earlier in the week, Malmgren lost the quarterfinals against Lucia Yepez Guzman, who took Olympic Games silver last year. When the Ecuadorian then reached the final, it gave Malmgren a new chance in the repechage – and there Laura Helin Avila, Cuba, was defeated with 9–1, which gave a place in the bronze match.
Previously, Malmgren has two European Championship gold medals and one gold medal in the U23 World Championship.
