The Linköping fullback has won the Swedish Women's Championship four times, won four Super League titles with Chelsea and won two Olympic silver medals and two World Cup bronze medals with Sweden.
Now a new chapter in life awaits. Andersson reveals that she and her partner are expecting their first child.
"We miss you," Andersson writes on Instagram.
The 33-year-old played 90 minutes as recently as June 18 in the 4–0 win against Alingsås in the top division.
Jonna Andersson ended her national team career this spring after 112 senior international matches.
