I can tell you that Christian Dior's next men's fashion show, which takes place in June, is being created by Jonathan Anderson.
With those words, Bernard Arnauld, billionaire and CEO of the luxury conglomerate LVMH, which owns Dior, put an end to months of speculation.
The energetic creator is replacing the acclaimed Briton Kim Jones, who left in January. The very influential role in the fashion world has previously been held by names such as Hedi Slimane and Raf Simons.
Anderson was born in Northern Ireland. He is recognized as the one who transformed Loewe from a smaller Spanish fashion company focused on leather goods to a global luxury brand. In parallel, he has collaborated with the Japanese chain Uniqlo and made costumes for film and artists. He is, among other things, known for the red creation Rihanna wore when she was pregnant and performed at Super Bowl 2023.
Frenchman Christian Dior founded his fashion house in 1946.
