"They require me to play at least six competitions, and they will decide which two they are," said the Spaniard.

Rahm chose not to sign the agreement that the European Tour (DP World Tour) offered to players on the breakaway tour funded by Saudi Arabia at the end of February.

Eight others did, including England's Tyrrell Hatton. The players will also pay fines imposed on them over the years by the DP World Tour for their LIV play and withdraw any appeals against those fines. In return, they will be allowed to continue playing on the LIV tour in 2026.

For players who are based on the PGA Tour in the United States, playing in only four European Tour events is required to maintain DP World Tour membership.
