In connection with the release of the trailer for "Ebenezer," Johnny Depp also made a surprise appearance at San Diego Comic-Con, dressed as the old businessman Ebenezer Scrooge from Charles Dickens' most famous work, "A Christmas Carol."
The film is directed by Ti West and described as a dark reimagining of the Dickens classic. “Ebenezer” is Johnny Depp’s first major Hollywood film since his legal battle with ex-wife Amber Heard. It marks his return to major studio films after several years of international productions and smaller projects.
