Johnny Depp gets a role in a major Hollywood production, the largest since the Amber Heard trial, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The film is called "Day Drinker" and reunites Depp with his co-star from films like "Blow" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides": Penelope Cruz.
Johnny Depp has in recent years starred in the French "Jeanne du Barry" and directed the indie film "Modi: Three Days on the Wing of Madness", but it was made with European film companies.
"Day Drinker" is described as an action film and is about a bartender on a cruise ship who meets a mysterious customer who drinks during the day. Together, they get entangled in the twists and turns of a criminal network.
Johnny Depp also has a role, as the devil, in Terry Gilliam's upcoming film "The Carnival at the End of Days".
