The defenseman, who has represented several NHL clubs such as the San Jose Sharks, Dallas Stars and Toronto Maple Leafs, has been plagued by injuries in recent seasons.
Now John Klingberg, who has two World Championship gold medals with Tre Kronor, is choosing to end his career. He will instead become a TV pundit for SVT.
I feel like as soon as I push myself and be athletic, my body doesn't want to anymore. When you give so much, but don't feel like you're getting anything back. Eventually the motivation runs out, he tells SVT and continues:

He played twelve seasons in North America and 700 NHL games. He has also won a Swedish Championship gold medal and a World Championship gold medal.
