Reports have suggested that AIK is close to selling midfielder Anton Salétros to the American soccer league MLS and Chicago Fire.
Now it seems that a certain John Guidetti has accidentally revealed what is happening behind the scenes and that the deal is done.
Guidetti will play his last match in black and yellow at home against Halmstad on Sunday, but he doesn't want the focus to be on himself. Instead, he wants the fans to pay tribute to other players who are leaving the club.
In AIK there are probably more players to thank and who are more important. Players who have done more for AIK, says Guidetti to Fotbollskanalen and continues:
Anton (Salétros), for example. Isherwood (Thomas). It's mainly those who are going to leave. They deserve it more than I do. I think we should focus on those two.
AIK has announced that Isherwood is leaving the club but has not communicated anything about Salétros yet, who has a contract through 2028.
