The Allsvenskan clubs have had a tough week behind them, and many teams have played three matches in just one week.
One of the teams is AIK. But the winning streak doesn't stop there. Against Elfsborg, "Gnaget" took their fifth win in the six opening rounds and leads the league with 16 points.
We said we wanted to get off to a flying start and bring the audience along. It's been three matches now in one week, and two long away trips. We've longed to get home, says Sunday's front figure John Guidetti, who scored both a goal and an assist, to Max.
The first goal came as early as the third minute, when Elfsborg made a mistake in their own half. John Guidetti collaborated with Johan Hove, who easily scored 1-0.
Just 16 minutes later, it was time for the next AIK goal, but this time Guidetti wanted to be the last one to touch the ball. The 33-year-old nodded in 2-0 after a clever pass from Bersant Celina.
And afterwards, it was clear what the striker thought of the delivery forward.
What classy goals we're scoring. Class.
But the success didn't come without Guidetti getting the home supporters to hold their breath.
In the middle of the first half, the 33-year-old sat down and held his leg. After some treatment, he was able to continue playing, but not entirely pain-free.
I don't know, it was really weird. I don't know if I got a knock or something, but my whole lower leg just started to go numb. I didn't feel it. I don't understand, it still feels weird. Creepy, he says.
John Guidetti was then substituted in the 68th minute, limping slightly, and AIK held on comfortably.
