Manzambi is said to have injured himself in the last training session before the match during a small-sided game, without any contact from a teammate. The 21-year-old was then taken to hospital, where an MRI scan was performed, writes Blick.
During the tournament, Manzambi has been one of Switzerland's most important players, with three goals and two assists in four matches.
It has already been confirmed that Swiss players Djibril Sow and Ruben Varga were also injured in training and will miss the round of 16.
"It would be a big loss if they can't play tomorrow," said Switzerland national team captain Murat Yakin at the press conference before the match.
Switzerland meets Colombia at 10 pm Swedish time.
