During the evening, Joakim Lundell was recognised both for a television programme he made - the popular "Spökjakt" on TV4 - and for a documentary about him, SVT's critically reviewed "Hate", which sparked a lot of debate this spring.

"I actually don't think it will win, it hasn't received very good reviews. But it's nice that we could help SVT reach a younger target group," said Lundell on the way to the gala.

The tension between Lundell and the journalist behind "Hate", Bo-Göran Bodin, was also addressed by host Messiah Hallberg in his opening monologue.

I have many enemies in the audience, but none I have made a three-hour documentary about, he said.

Bergfeldt received an award

The award for this year's review went, as Joakim Lundell tipped, not to "Hate" but to "Kalla fakta Barnmakarna", where reporters Fanny zu Knyphausen and Hasse Johansson, using a hidden microphone and camera, revealed how a rapidly growing private IVF clinic had been careless with patient confidentiality and record keeping.

SVT profile Carina Bergfeldt was awarded for her programme "Six days left to live", about death row prisoners in American prisons, in the category of factual programme of the year.

"It's a programme about the shades of gray, it's about death. But it will also be a programme about life," said Carina Bergfeldt in her acceptance speech.

First time at the gala

Mohammed Nour Oklah, who plays one of the main roles in the Netflix series "Sin", was nominated for this year's male lead role - an award that, however, went to Joel Spira for "Couple Therapy in Gagnef".

At the same time, Mohammed Nour Oklah risks being deported from Sweden to Syria, as Sydsvenskan has reported.

It's my first time at a gala, so I'm just trying to take it all in and enjoy the evening, he told TT on the red carpet.

How do you feel about the meeting with the Swedish Migration Board on Thursday?

It feels like two different worlds to be here and at the same time have that meeting scheduled. I'm just trying to live in the present and not focus on it right now, said Mohammed Nour Oklah.

The actor has lived in Sweden since 2014 and works as a janitor at a high school in Malmö. He got the role in “Sin” without any acting training, when he was an extra in “The Thin Blue Line”.

“Working like an animal”

The award for best female lead went to Carla Sehn for "Half of Malmö consists of guys who dumped me."

"I admire everyone else who is nominated. We work like animals in this industry to do the best we can. You work hard and then all of a sudden, oh my god, you win," she says in her acceptance speech.
