The 34-year-old Lagergren got off to a modest start in Spain, shooting par and one under par in the first two rounds, respectively. But after going seven under par in Saturday's third round, he is racing up the leaderboard.
With a total of eight under par, Lagergren is currently tied for seventh place, although none of the players ahead of him has completed the third round yet.
Star Ludvig Åberg had the same results as Lagergren before Saturday. He also played better on Saturday, shooting four under par.
