Kent reunited last year for their first gigs in just over eight years.

The first taste of the new album, the single "Över", has now been released.

"It definitely doesn't sound like Kent," says fan Aino Oxblod to SVT Kulturnyheterna.

Expressen's critic Kristin Lundell, however, sees certain similarities with Kent's sound. She writes that Berg's new song has political dimensions:

"But it can also be heard as an encouragement to fight. A call to want something in the sloppy times that have been the spring and winter of 2026. Politics wrapped in melancholy guitars."

The album "The Future That Never Went Away" will be released on May 29. Berg's first solo album "I Keep Forgetting" came out in 2022.
