Emma Watson, who played Hermione Granger in the films, recently said that she still loves the Harry Potter author and therefore refuses to dismiss her even though they have different views on gender identity.
Both Watson and Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) distanced themselves from Rowling when she claimed that trans activism has eroded the concept of biological sex. Rowling in turn has denied being transphobic and claims that she cares about women's safety.
