"My disappointment cannot be put into words. I could never have imagined that a club with such a great reputation would disregard both sporting ethical principles and legal rules - for reasons unknown to me."
33-year-old Gottfridsson is in his first season with Pick Szeged. He signed a three-year contract with the Hungarian club.
