The Jetline roller coaster at Gröna Lund in Stockholm has been idle since the fatal accident in the summer of 2023. When the park now closes for the season, it will be demolished, Mitti writes.

– We have already started the preparatory work. As soon as we close the park and have no guests, the dismantling will begin in full force, Gröna Lund CEO Jan Eriksson tells the newspaper.

Demolition work will continue throughout the winter.

It's a big machine. Gröna Lund is a densely built-up area and the roller coaster is in the middle of the park.

According to Mitti, there is a plan for what will replace Jetline, but it is still secret.

The Jetline roller coaster partially derailed in June 2023. 14 people were on board the ride when the accident occurred. A woman in her 30s died after being thrown from the car and falling to the ground. Nine people were injured.
