Jesper Bratt scores overtime winner as New Jersey beats St. Louis 5-4 after comeback

Last night's NHL game between New Jersey and St. Louis was a real thriller after St. Louis overcame a significant deficit in the third period. After several Swedish players scored for both teams, New Jersey's Jesper Bratt finally decided the game.

New Jersey initially looked set for a comfortable win, leading 4–1 after the second period. Swede Jesper Boqvist was among the goal scorers.

However, St. Louis mounted a major comeback in the third period, scoring three goals in just over three minutes. One of them came from Örebro native Philip Broberg, forcing overtime.

But just under a minute and a half into overtime, Jesper Bratt ended the game with the winning goal in a 5–4 victory for New Jersey.

The team has won eight of its last ten games, including six straight at home. In its next game on Saturday, New Jersey faces the New York Islanders away.
