Swedish star Jesper Bratt scores decisive goal as New Jersey beats New York Rangers 6-3

The 27-year-old scored his first goal of the game, with an assist from teammate Nico Hischier, tying the score at 1-1 in the 17th minute of the first period.

Before he could strike again, Mika Zibanejad of the opposing team opened the second period with a goal to make it 2–2.

However, New Jersey quickly took the lead again, and Bratt scored the final, decisive goal in the 17th minute of the third period.

It is the third straight victory for New Jersey, which is now ten points behind Boston and Detroit in the hunt for the Eastern Conference's two wild card spots for the playoffs.
