At the end of the first period, Bratt's first point came when he assisted teammate Dougie Hamilton to make it 3–2. After that, Bratt assisted on all of the team's remaining goals in the game - except for the one he later scored himself.

The 27-year-old's goal came just over twelve minutes into the third period after passes from Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier.

"Sometimes the puck just bounces your way," the 27-year-old from Trångsund said after the match, according to Aftonbladet.

According to the newspaper, the night's five points represented a new personal record for Bratt.

Swede Rasmus Sandin, who plays for Washington, also got an assist during the match.

New Jersey won 7–3.
