Mountain bike star Jenny Rissveds ended the World Cup season in superior style – at the very least. The margin of victory in Canada on the Olympic distance was record-large. For the first time I am speechless. I do not know what I should say, she says.

Olympic Games gold medalist from 2016, who took bronze in the Paris Olympic Games last year, is having her best competition season this year, where she has been almost unstoppable since the end of July.

Already on Friday, Jenny Rissveds won the short distance in Mont-Sainte-Anne in Canada during the World Cup finals. On Sunday, she was completely superior on the Olympic distance and took home her tenth victory in her last twelve starts.

She finished three and a half minutes ahead of second-placed Samara Maxwell, New Zealand. The largest margin of victory ever for a female rider on the Olympic distance.

I do not know what to say. I am at a loss for words, says the 31-year-old in the HBO Max broadcast.

I was so tired in the end, then it really felt in my legs. But I could still enjoy, says the Swede.

In the overall standings on the Olympic distance, Rissveds finished second after Maxwell, who could afford to finish eighth and still win the overall title.

Besides the successes in the World Cup, Rissveds has had a gold-plated championship season. During the European Championship this summer, she took gold in both the short distance and the longer Olympic distance. In September, she took World Championship gold on the Olympic distance and silver on the short distance.

I have learned so much this season. And I am still hungry for more. It is so cool. I am pretty old in the sport now, but I still feel that there is so much to learn, says Jenny Rissveds.
