Jennifer Williams took her very first podium place in the World Championship in artistic gymnastics when she came third in the beam event in Croatia.
The Swede had the highest difficulty grade in the final field. There were a few minor wobbles and missed combinations, writes the Swedish Gymnastics Federation in a press release, but her series was still enough for the podium.
"My beam series was quite shaky today, but I'm very happy to have taken my first World Championship medal", says Williams.
Dutchwoman Eythora Thorsdottir won with 13,000 points, American Jayla Hang came second with 13,766 and Williams got 13,066 points.
