The singer performed in Warsaw, Poland on Friday – the day after her 56th birthday – when the mishap occurred.
During a break, Lopez went behind the stage to change. When she came out again, her backing singers and dancers were singing "Happy birthday" for her, writes Hollywood Reporter.
But when Jennifer Lopez was about to thank them, the skirt fell to the floor. She tried to save the situation but to no avail. Instead, she threw the skirt out to the audience.
– I'm glad I had underwear on me. I usually don't have underwear on me, she joked to the audience, according to the newspaper.
Lopez has uploaded the clip to her Youtube channel, where it has so far received over 310,000 views.
Also, the Swedish artist Lill Lindfors has had a wardrobe shock on stage. During the Eurovision Song Contest 1985, she suddenly lost her skirt in a live broadcast. The stunt was however planned in advance.
