In a camera shot from a live broadcast at the television station in Malmö, Jeffrey Epstein, who would later be convicted as a sex offender, suddenly appears in the Schlager Festival audience.
In the clip that SVT Väst found in the archive, Epstein is sitting next to Robert Wells and Bert Karlsson, among others.
The explanation is that at the time, Epstein had a relationship with a Swedish woman who worked in production.
SVT has spoken to Bert Karlsson, who has no recollection of Epstein.
"It's unbelievable. Oh my God, now I'm involved here too," says Karlsson.
