Amazon founder Bezos, the world's second richest person, and Trump have long been at odds with each other. Partly due to the former's ownership of the Washington Post newspaper. Among other things, Bezos once offered to send Donald Trump to the moon via his space company, as an insult.
But now, the atmosphere between them seems to have thawed. After the election victory, Bezos congratulated Trump on "an extraordinary political comeback", and said earlier in December that he looks forward to the upcoming term. According to sources to WSJ, Jeff Bezos is scheduled to visit the incoming president at his Florida residence Mar-a-Lago next week.
There were frosty relations between Trump and many top figures in the tech world during his first term, but ahead of his return to the White House in January, many are now trying to reestablish contact. On Wednesday, WSJ reported that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is also donating a million dollars to Trump.
