"Revenge & Love" was released on Friday night. It will be the last album from JB, also known as Jaffar Byn, whose real name is Jafar Ahmed Sadik.
JB has been one of the biggest names in Swedish gangster rap. Sadik has also served a prison sentence for aggravated weapons offences.
In a long interview with Dagens ETC earlier this summer, JB explained that he now wants to focus on his religion. In connection with the album release, JB apologised for the music via his Instagram:
"Sorry, little brother, if my music has misled you. That was never my intention. I just got good at writing and reflecting what I saw around me, the beautiful and the ugly, the bright and the dark days. But it's the dark that I've become most associated with," the artist writes.
