According to organiser Live Nation, large groups surged past ticket holders and some managed to get through security. All entrances were temporarily closed, and even visitors with valid tickets were left outside.
The concert on Sunday night was the third in a series celebrating the 25th and 30th anniversaries of Jay-Z's iconic albums "The Blueprint" and "Reasonable Doubt," respectively.
The concert, which was supposed to start at 8 p.m., did not start until just after midnight. Jay-Z briefly explained to the more than 40,000-strong audience what had happened before the show began.
The concerts are the artist's first major solo performances since 2017.
