Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum has finished playing in the NBA playoffs. The day after Tatum was injured, the news came that the right Achilles tendon is torn and has been operated on.
It was at the end of the quarterfinal against New York Knicks that Tatum injured himself, after having scored 42 points earlier in the match.
Tatum was visibly in pain and was carried off the court. To make matters worse, Boston lost to New York, which leads with 3–1 in matches and has the opportunity to knock out the reigning champion team on Wednesday evening.
Boston is not giving a prognosis for when Tatum can play basketball, but the club says it expects the 27-year-old star to fully recover.
