The exhibition "Dreamland" is described as the Technical Museum's largest to date.
Around a hundred historical objects and installations tell the story of "how dreams, visions and faith in the future shaped the country" and its journey from a poor agricultural society to a world leader in innovation.
One of the objects is the Gripen 39-2, Saab's prototype for what became the JAS 39 Gripen fighter jet. The test aircraft is being highlighted as a symbol of the Swedish aviation industry and the country's advanced technological capabilities. On Monday, the museum received the aircraft in Stockholm.
The exhibition opens on April 29.
