The allegations concern events that allegedly occurred when the women were between 16 and 19 years old.
One woman says she was assaulted at a motel when she was 17. Another woman accuses Leto of, among other things, "grooming" when she was 16, after which she was later asked to sign a confidentiality agreement.
A total of eight women have testified about how the actor subjected them to sexual harassment or abuse while they were growing up. The BBC has previously broadcast the documentary "Jared Leto: Hollywood's dark secret", with about ten other testimonies.
Leto tells the AP that he "has never committed sexual assault" and that "these allegations are completely and categorically false."
