Sinner won his second-round match against Portuguese player Nuno Borges in straight sets: 7–6 (7–4), 7–6 (7–2), 6–4.
"I'm very happy to win, especially on this surface. We'll see what's next," Sinner said after the victory.
The Italian is the favourite to win Wimbledon after it became clear that world number two Carlos Alcaraz will miss the tournament through injury.
There are a couple of things we need to improve, but I'm very happy with the result," says Sinner.
