Jannik Sinner names Magnus Norman as new coach after split with Darren Cahill

Tennis star Jannik Sinner is turning to Swedish help. Magnus Norman is set to become the new coach of the world No. 2.

In a statement, Italian Jannik Sinner says he is parting ways with his long-time coach Darren Cahill and will hire Magnus Norman instead.

I want to thank Darren for always believing in me and for his work. He has helped me grow both as a player and as a person, says Sinner.

World No. 2 Sinner has been out of action since winning Wimbledon in July due to injury, but is expected to make his comeback at a star-studded invitational tournament in Saudi Arabia in December.

Norman, 60, previously coached Stan Wawrinka. During his playing career, he was ranked second in the world.
