The world number one Jannik Sinner has as expected advanced to the fourth round of the French Championships in Paris.
The Italian won in three straight sets with clear 6–0, 6–1, 6–2 against the Czech Jiri Lehecka.
The start in Grand Slams is important, it gives confidence later in the tournament, Sinner says and continues:
I played well today, at least in two and a half sets. I'm very happy.
Sinner has not lost a single set in this year's edition of the French Championships.
In the fourth round, Sinner will face Andrej Rubljov, who got to skip playing in the third round as Arthur Fils withdrew due to injury.
The third-seeded Alexander Zverev will participate in the fourth round in Paris. The German won the 2.5-hour-long match against the Italian Flavio Cobolli in three sets – 6-2, 7-6, 6-1.
