It states Blue Light in Cooperation in a press release.

Andersson is traveling already on Thursday and has the company of Gyllene Tider drummer Micke Syd Andersson, who is an ambassador for Blue Light in Cooperation.

"I have stopped as a football coach and therefore have more time in my life. That time I want to dedicate to doing good things", says Janne Andersson in the press release.

Feels really good

"As a volunteer to drive down rescue vehicles to Ukraine together with Blue Light in Cooperation and thereby help the Ukrainian people on the spot, it feels really, really good."

The transport to Ukraine consists of four vehicles – two ambulances and two hospital buses – which have been donated by Region Halland and will be handed over to Ukrainian healthcare units and evacuation efforts.

"When Janne got in touch during my previous trip to Ukraine and offered his help, it was perfect timing considering we were going down again with Halland rescue vehicles. After approval from the board, I contacted Janne, who to my great joy said Micke Syd Andersson.

Larger aid package

The vehicles and equipment being donated are part of a larger package, worth around 30 million kronor.

The handover will take place in Lviv in western Ukraine.

Janne Andersson was the national team coach from 2016 until 2023. He led the national team to, among other things, the World Championship finals in Russia 2018, where Sweden reached the quarterfinals.

As an Allsvenskan coach, he won the Swedish Championship gold with IFK Norrköping in 2015. A short time ago, he announced that his active coaching career is over.
