The film has the same English title as the TV series, "Murder, She Wrote," and is scheduled to be released in theaters at Christmas 2027, writes Variety.
In addition to the twelve seasons of the series that aired from 1984 to 1996, four television films were also made between 1997 and 2003. The series was created by the producers behind "Columbo," and the main character, Jessica Fletcher, was partly based on Agatha Christie's Miss Marple.
Angela Lansbury was 61 when she filmed the first season of the series, and Jamie Lee Curtis is 67 today. Jamie Lee Curtis's mother, Janet Leigh, guest-starred in an episode of the original series in 1987.
