23-year-old Musiala managed to play only four minutes in Bayern Munich's training match against Heidenheim when he began to stagger and then fell to the ground, Bild writes.
After a few minutes, with the help of doctors and teammates, he was able to get back up but could not continue playing.
This weekend he collapsed in the match against Leipzig in a similar way.
Now Musiala says it has been determined that he suffered from "mildly treated absence seizures (absence attacks)" due to a neurological dysfunction.
"I know these look scary at first glance, but for me they are currently part of my everyday life. I am receiving the best possible medical treatment for this and am very optimistic," he writes.
