Hammarby's former coach Jakob Michelsen takes over Denmark's women's national football team after Andrée Jeglertz, who finishes after the European Championship this summer.
Michelsen started his coaching career in Skovbakkens women's team. But after 2009, he has only coached men's teams, including Hammarby in 2017 and most recently Norwegian HamKam.
I have seen most of the women's national team matches in the last ten years and quite a lot of the women's Champions League, so I feel quite well-read. But I will now get into things even more, he says.
Jeglertz and the Danish national team received a heavy defeat against Sweden in the Nations League on Wednesday, 1–6. The countries also meet in the European Championship premiere in a month.
