Norwegian running star Jakob Ingebrigtsen will come to the World Championship, despite injury concerns.
"It may not be completely optimal to run in the World Championship without any competition in my legs, but so be it. I will run. That's what I live for. To compete. It can't be that hard", comments the 24-year-old in a press release.
Ingebrigtsen has been struggling with a troublesome Achilles tendon and has not competed outdoors this season yet.
He is the reigning world champion on 5,000 meters and also took gold on the distance at the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.
