Melinda Jacobs is stopped from trademark protecting the name "Lilla hjärtat". The Patent and Registration Office says no, writes Expressen.

Melinda Jacobs, foster mother to the three-year-old girl who died after being placed back with her biological parents, was involved in starting Lilla hjärtat friend association, which works non-profit to support foster-placed children.

In August, she resigned as chairman and also left the board which, according to Expressen, turned against Jacobs using the name "Lilla hjärtat" commercially to sell hair products.

The reason why the Swedish Patent and Registration Office (PRV) says no is that the trademark is considered too similar to three already registered trademarks.
