Vegas star is entering his final contract year with Vegas, but it is already clear that he will continue in the club.
According to AP, which refers to sources with insight into the extension, Jack Eichel has signed an eight-year contract worth a total of 108 million dollars, just over a billion Swedish kronor.
The salary per season will be 13.5 million dollars, just over 127 million kronor.
The eight-year contract applies from next season to 2034.
He is the latest major NHL star to sign a new contract before the old one expires in the summer of 2026.
Minnesota's Kirill Kaprizov signed the largest NHL contract in history last week, worth almost 1.3 billion kronor over eight years.
Edmonton's superstar Connor McDavid chose the other day to stay in the club and extended his contract by two years from next summer - but without raising his current salary of 12.5 million dollars per season.
Eichel, who won the Stanley Cup with Vegas in 2023, had his point-wise best season last year with 94 points, 28 goals and 66 assists.
