Swedish star Stenberg has made a convincing start to his NHL career. The draft pick from this summer tops the rookie scoring charts and scored another goal for San Jose in tonight’s game.
The game was already decided when Stenberg made it 6–2 into an empty net.
Samuel Ersson was in goal for Ottawa last night. The Swede joined the team after moving from Philadelphia last summer and got his chance in the absence of the injured Linus Ullmark.
"I actually think we played a pretty good game, especially considering the conditions. After their fourth goal, I think we took over. Of course, the result sucks, but there’s a lot for the team to take away," Ersson told the media after the game.
Stenberg has scored three goals and five assists in eleven games.
