Ivan Juric becomes the new coach in Premier League bottom team Southampton.
He replaces Russell Martin, who was fired last week. Ivan Juric himself was let go from Italian Roma in November after only twelve matches at the helm.
The 49-year-old Juric has signed a contract for 18 months.
"We are still focused on fighting to avoid relegation and believe that this solution will give us the determination to improve our results", Southampton writes in a statement.
The newcomer has only won one of its 16 first matches and has nine points up to safety.
