To be absolutely certain of advancing to the round of 32 in the World Cup, Sweden must score against Japan at 1:00 a.m. on Friday, local time in Sweden.
It is now clear that Ivan Barton from El Salvador will be the main referee in the Sweden-Japan thriller. He will be joined by compatriots David Moran and Antonio Pupiro as assistant referees.
Barton previously refereed Paraguay's 1-0 win over Turkey at the World Cup. At the end of the first half, he also made history when he showed Miguel Almirón a red card for covering his mouth while speaking to a Turkish player.
