It went correctly when the Swede Petra Sörling was re-elected as chairman of the International Table Tennis Federation under chaotic forms. This is stated by the association's own investigation after the opponent Khalil al-Mohannadi disputed the election outcome.

Khalil al-Mohannadi, chairman of Qatar's table tennis association, challenged Petra Sörling for the chairmanship of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), but lost with the numbers 102–104 and immediately chaos broke out during the congress in Doha, Qatar, in May.

The other elections of members had to be cancelled and the meeting was interrupted after outsiders disrupted the order. Sörling and the Swedish delegation got help from the Swedish embassy to leave the country.

There was such an aggressive atmosphere in the room and I did not feel safe, said Sörling to Dagens Nyheter.

Already the same evening, the association proclaimed Sörling the winner of the election, but Khalil al-Mohannadi and Qatar's table tennis association appealed the decision.

Now a committee appointed by ITTF has come to the conclusion that the election was conducted correctly. It is also announced that this decision can be appealed to the sports arbitration court, Cas.
