It will be a repeat of the 2022 playoff final. That time, Poland won 2–0 and qualified for the World Cup in Qatar at Sweden's expense.

That match was played in Chorzów, Poland. On Tuesday, the teams will face off at Strawberry Arena in Solna, and playing at home, Sweden's record is extremely strong.

The last time Poland won on Swedish soil was on September 28, 1930.

Since then, the countries have met ten times in Sweden, with eight wins for the Blue and Yellow and two draws. Furthermore, Poland's national team captain, Jan Urban, warns that Sweden looks like a reborn national team under Graham Potter.

"The victory against Ukraine is a huge boost for them, especially when they now get to play on home soil and feel they can reach the World Cup despite weak qualifying," Urban told the Polish Football Association's website.

Sweden also has an x factor in Viktor Gyökeres, the Arsenal star who scored all three goals in Thursday's 3-1 win in the playoff semi-final against Ukraine.

"Having a striker like Gyökeres is a huge asset, and he has shown that. That type of player wants to be on the big stage, which the match against Ukraine confirmed."
